Here is a selection of examples of poems that I’ve been commissioned to hand-letter and decorate. My aim is to capture the character of the poem through the choice of calligraphic style, design, color and decoration. As these are works of art meant to last, I only use archival materials. The cost varies according to the length of the poem and the complexity and detail of the decoration. I will create a rough draft for your approval before I begin the finished piece. My base fee to hand-write a poem is $100.
